"Shaded moss" and "queensland walnut" glaze were Colorwashed in this afternoon sun-soaked office to 'tone down' the bright afternoon sunlight and 'bring down' the 12- foot vaulted ceiling. Warm, rich earth tones were Glazed in swirls using plastic bags(!) in this home office. We used three colors off one paint strip for this Ragging technique (we also call it 'wax on, wax off'). The deepest color also went on the ceiling. This technique gave the added movement, pattern, and style that was needed in this otherwise plain home library/office combination.
